Protecting others is in your bones. You like to help, but perhaps don’t like to be helped.
That’s not how community works. There are people in the world who can, and want, to help. People who have been where you have been. Seen what you have seen. Pushed through where you might be right now.
Many people come back from serving to feel abandoned. To feel left out. They gave, but haven’t felt saved. Many of us have been there. We felt that way, too. That’s why we started FVCAA.
We got into this because we have been at the bottom. We left to serve, and came back to a home without support for what we went through.
We’re changing the game.
We have a group of people who know how the systems work. We know how to get help, and where to get it from. Which forms to fill out. Which people to talk to.
